"CAUSATION" SERIES

Equipped with the program Rebelle 3(a real-time watercolor simulation software) I dove into digital painting, creating a triptych illustrating global warming and climate change in an exaggerated and metaphorical way. Lots of my works in the past have been on this same topic and I really enjoy being able to explore it through different mediums and styles.

Resistance, Intermission, and then Consequence are the supposedly three stages of grief when it comes to man-introduced climate change. Resistance is when we begin to see changes in natural patterns. Intermission is then the damage-control stage where things have already gone too far, and finally Consequence is when there's nothing else we can do but sit and wait.

The first two are supposed to be intense, graphic, and more-so a pure imagery of what's happening. When making Consequence, I came up with the idea to have it almost ironic; cool colors and a peaceful tone accompany a human shrugging as if claiming to be unaware how things could have possibly got to this state.
